BODEGAS VIÑA EXTREMEÑA have different rooms where our wines undergo the required resting process, both in cask or in bottle, in the shadows and silence of our facilities.

Our casks, mostly new, have a 230-litre volume and are made of handcrafted American oak wood from the states of Missouri and Ohio.

The ageing of our wines begins inside these casks whith their stabilization and the transfer of the peculiar oak taste with all its hints.

Once the ageing process is complete, the wines are bottled and go through rigorous control tests in order to ensure the perfect placement of caps. All bottles with faulty corks are immediately removed.

Finally, the harmonization stage in bottle starts and the wine develops its finest bouquet at a reduction atmosphere, softening and rounding up in a proportioned way to the ageing period before its commercial distribution.
