Mr. Alfonso Iglesias Infante, founder of the family group ALCOHOLES IGLESIAS, which includes the ageing cellar BODEGAS VIÑA EXTREMEÑA, was born at the end of the nineteenth century.

Since he was very young, he focused his efforts on growing his vines and producing his own wines in Almendralejo, capital town of the area known as TIERRA DE BARROS.

Nowadays this family holding owns a great vineyard surface and three cellars for wine production located in different villages in such area.

Once the grapes are picked and the must is fermented, the wineries BODEGAS VIÑA EXTREMEÑA are specialised in the ageing, bottling and distribution of our wines.

Four generations devoted to the vine-growing and production of our wines have achieved to place them in the international markets in fifty-seven countries.
